Why Firepanel exists

The Firebase console is a great place to set up a project. It’s a frustrating place to do everyday data work. Editing a document is a chore. Filtering a collection feels like spreadsheet archaeology. Inviting a teammate to view production data without giving them root is, somehow, still hard.

Who builds it

Firepanel is built by a small, independent team. The product is operated by Scale, a sole proprietorship registered in India. We’re developers first; the product reflects what we’ve wanted in the tools we use every day.

Where we’re headed

The Firestore module shipped first because it’s the hardest one to get right. Auth is next: a real user browser with filters, custom claims, and bulk operations. Then Storage. Then the AI features — natural-language queries, schema-aware forms, document explanations — that turn Firepanel from an admin panel into a coworker.

We’re building in public-ish: shipping fast, listening hard, and trying not to add features nobody asked for.
